Red Nexus 5 spied in scarlet-hued leaked snap
Google's beloved flagship phone has been tipped to arrive in a variety of colours.
Google's Nexus 5 has been spied in red, leading credibility to rumours that the Big G is plotting a range of new hues for its popular flagship phone.
The photo above appeared at Vietnamese-language site Vietnamnet.vn, and reportedly shows a sample product that will go on sale in late February or March.
The photo could be a clever fake, or the pictured phone could be an amateur's mock-up, so I'd recommend taking this -- and indeed all tech rumours -- with a pinch of salt.
That said, yesterday we reported on leaked snaps of a Google Play listing for the Nexus 5, showing the phone in black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
One dissonant note in this symphony of rumours is that the phone spied above looks to be a much brighter shade of red than the maroon-ish mobile that we showed you yesterday.
Google's Nexus 5 is perhaps the best value smart phone money can buy, bringing you high-end specs and cutting-edge Android for a startlingly reasonable £299 for the lower-capacity 16GB model.
It's not too colourful, however, and is currently only available in boring old black and white. A lick of paint could tempt those currently eyeing up Apple's colourful iPhone 5C, which comes in a veritable rainbow of hues, but is considerably more expensive, starting at £469.
