88145: AppleWorks 6.1.2: Mac OS X Public Preview Only Available for North American English Versions states: "The AppleWorks 6.1 for Mac OS X Public Preview will only install when updating North American English versions of AppleWorks 6.0.4. If you have any other localized versions of AppleWorks 6.0.4, the AppleWorks 6.1.2 Updater will install the version of AppleWorks 6.1.2 for Mac OS 8.1 through Mac OS 9.X only. When you open this version of AppleWorks 6.1.2 while running Mac OS X 10.0, the application opens in the Classic environment."

So, if we understand this, not only will the update not install the OS X Preview, it will also not install a carbonized version of AppleWorks 6.1.2 for OS 9.

25319: Apple Studio Display (ADC): Functionality of On-Screen Display On/Off Button states: 'With Mac OS X, pressing the On-Screen Display on/off button on the Apple Studio Display LCD (ADC) and Apple Studio Display 17 (ADC) does not open the Displays pane of the System Preferences application."

This sounds like it may relate to the problem where laptop brightness buttons do not work; perhaps the previously reported work-around for that problem will also work here?

Update: Ware Adams confirms that the work-around did indeed work for his 15" flat panel (ADC) display. Jonathan Ballard and several other MacFixIt readers concur.
