Reasons you may not want an iPad Air

The iPad Air is great, but here are some reasons you may want to hold on to your money instead.

I know this will be a controversial topic, so let me say off the top that the iPad Air is a great tablet. We as a species of relatively evolved primates should count ourselves as blessed to have such a clearly miraculous technology at our disposal. To think that its existence is the end product of our collective human knowledge, and not an artifact from an advanced alien civilization, is beyond me to comprehend.

And yet, I'm not going to buy one.

My reasons for resisting the iPad Air's allure are documentedin the above Top 5 video. But for those of you who can't give 4 minutes of your life to a video (or whose aggressive ad-blocker software prevents you from viewing it) let me cut to the chase -- none of my reasons are particularly good, and at least two of them still involve buying an iPad.

For the rest of you, enjoy the video. Enjoy skewering me in the comments. Come back next week when I'll likely contradict myself and convince you not to buy an Android tablet. I pretty much won't be happy until I've shamed everyone into consumer paralysis.
