RealNetworks says RealOne Beta 2 is Mac OS X 10.2 tested

Despite an earlier statement from one of Real Networks' technical support representatives to the contrary, company officials told MacFixIt that the RealOne Player Beta 2 is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.2. Colleen Moffitt, the Mac Program Manager, said:

"We are trying to identify where this misinformation occurred, but also wanted to clarify with your audience that support is provided for Mac OS X 10.2 with RealOne Beta 2. RealOne Beta 2 (version 9.0.0.213) was tested and runs on 10.2. Furthermore, we are currently unaware of any specific issues with RealOne Beta 2 on OS X 10.2."

A MacFixIt reader received a message stating that RealOne Beta 2 had not been extensively tested with Mac OS X 10.2 (and therefore should not be considered compatible) in response to an inquiry about skips and pops in audio playback.
