My Secrets column in this month's Macworld covers getting online on the road. A couple of readers offered additional information:

AOL access The article states that to get local access numbers from America Online, "Just select Member Services and click on Connecting to AOL." AOL's Gene Steinberg wrote that it is probably faster to simply select Keyword (Command-K) and type "Access."

ISPs for international travel Regarding ISPs that are recommended for international travel, Roger Ebert noted that I did not mention CompuServe. I was reluctant to mention it because its future seemed uncertain at the time I wrote the article. However, CompuServe is still with us. Roger added: "It has dial-up numbers seemingly everywhere, many more than AOL. For people who travel, especially overseas, that makes it the ISP of choice."
