Reader love: installing an SSD

When we alerted our audience of a SanDisk SSD price drop, it was all too much for reader Anthonaut. He pulled out his wallet and got to upgrading.

You've likely heard from quite a few sources that upgrading to an SSD is one of the best things you can do to speed up an ailing system.

CNET Australia reader Anthonaut had thought of upgrading to an SSD as well. But, like many, the price of entry was too high. When we alerted our audience of a SanDisk SSD price drop , it was all too much: they pulled out their wallets and got to upgrading.

What's better is that Anthonaut went one step further and documented the whole process, creating an in-depth tutorial that covers moving data off your existing hard drive, shrinking partitions, updating firmware and more.

While our own Dong Ngo has also written a tutorial for the upgrade process, it's always great to get another perspective, and Anthonaut digs quite deeply, providing some SanDisk specific tips along the way.
