Razorfish posts first-quarter profit

Razorfish reported Wednesday a first-quarter pro forma net income of $904,000, or 1 cent a share, on revenue of $11.3 million. That compares with a pro forma net loss of $6.3 million, or 7 cents a share, and total revenue of $43.8 million in the same quarter a year ago. The technology consultancy posted a pro forma net income of $600,000, or 1 cent a share, for the fourth quarter. No First Call consensus estimates were available, but Razorfish results were in line with the company's previous outlook. The company expects second-quarter revenue to come in between $10.3 million and $11.3 million, and pro forma net earnings between $500,000 and $1 million. Razorfish stock has traded between $1.88 a share and 12 cents a share during the past year and once hit $55 a share in early 2000.
