QuikSync crashes; a solution for download via Explorer problem

QuikSync crashes? Three readers (Thomas Holmberg, Ben Rosenthal and Paul MacLeod) all report getting a system crash when trying to use the recently released Iomega QuikSync 1.0. Thomas writes: "Whenever I choose the 'Select Disk' button, either with the Setup Assistant or in the control panel, I get a crash." Ben writes: "It crashes every time I try to select the QuikSync disk I want the software to recognize and backup on." Paul confirms: "When trying to select the destination disk for QuikSync, the software crashed with a Type 3 error, and further attempts just cause it to quit with no error messages or any other dialogs."

Download via Explorer problem: a solution! Regarding the problem getting the QuikSync software to download via Internet Explorer (as mentioned last time), Carlos Rodríguez writes: "I think there is some error in the code of this page. The solution I found is to uncheck the 'Enable scripting' check box in Explorer's Web Content Preferences." I tried it; it worked!
