QuickTime 5 issues; Media skins; Indeo codec

Media skins not working in OS X? Patrick La Roque notes that the media skin feature of QuickTime 5.0.1 appears not to work with the 5.0 version of QuickTime included with Mac OS X. "The feature was disabled: the movie displays in a square window as usual (with a gray background instead of transparency)."

Indeo codec problem Dann Stubbs writes: "I have found that on Mac OS X, I am unable to play any Indeo 5 codecs. Under OS 9, they play properly (assuming you have the plug-in installed) but it appears there is no way yet to install the indeo 5 codec under QuickTime 5 on OS X."
