QuickTime 4.0:various reports

CNET staff
We continue to get numerous reports of potential problems with QuickTime 4.0. Here are the most significant ones of the recent crop:
Import bug? Kris Baxter writes: "When you import a file into QuickTime 4.0, it puts random lines in the QuickTime Player's interface." He has posted a web page that explains the problems via graphic images.

Droidworks and Sound Manager Jochen Dwersteg claims that "StarWars Droidworks crashes after installation of QuickTime 4.0." Downgrading Sound Manager 3.4 to the 3.3 version from OS 8.5 cured the problem for him.

Tomb Raider Gold movies Piotr Naskrecki writes: "After installing the final release of QuickTime 4.0 on my PowerBook G3 running Mac OS 8.6, Tomb Raider Gold quits with a Type 2 error right after the opening movie. Disabling movies in Tomb Raider's setup worked-around the crash - but you lose the movies."
