Quicken 2006 (#3): Conflict with APE, solution
Quicken 2006 (#3): Conflict with APE, solution
Conflict with APE, solution In some cases, an issue where Quicken 2006 R2 crashes on launch and exhibits other issues can be resolved by either disabling Unsanity's APE (Application Enhancer) or adding the Quicken 2006 application to APE's Master Exclude list.
MacFixit reader Harvey Rubinstein writes:
"Quicken 2006 (R2) would immediately crash upon launch. Disabling Unsanity's Application Enhancer (APE) resolved the issue. I was able to verify this (on my DP 800/10.42) via several iterations of disabling-enabling APE.
"After additional study, just adding Quicken 2006 to APE's Master Exclude List resolved the problem."
