QPS CD-RW drive problems fixed by update Dennis Callahan was having problems (especially with copying MP3 files) via Toast 4.1 on his new QPS QueFire 12x10x32 CD-RW drive. QPS sent him a 2.14 updater and this "completely solved all of his concerns with the drive (see also previous coverage). AOL and iMovie 2 download glitch? Apple told a MacFixIt reader that the maximum download on AOL is 12.4MB. Since iMovie 2 is 14.1MB, he was unable to download it after purchasing it from the Apple Store. An Apple supervisor is now working on the problem. Update: Bob Patterson was able to successfully download a 21.5 MB file via an FTP client using AOL. VST CD-RW not for booting George Machen could not boot from his VST CDRWG32 for the PowerBook expansion bay. When he asked VST about this, they replied: "Our VST CD-R/W drive is not supported for booting. The reason is because the mechanism we use is not capable of doing this. If you need booting, I would suggest another vendor CD-R/W." Eudora Address Book stall In a MacFixIt Forums thread, several readers report a problem where the paid version of Eudora 5 pauses/stalls when trying to open the Address book. Eurdora Support is not aware of the problem, but offers some advice that may help.
