Problems with .Mac calendar publishing: Accounts expiring in October affected

CNET staff

We continue to receive reports of problems with published .Mac iCal calendars. As previously reported, several of the readers who have reported the problem -- specifically receiving a "Page not found" error when attempting to access their published calendars -- have one common trait: their accounts expire in the next few months. In fact, virtually all of the confirming responses we've received so far are from users whose accounts are set to expire in October.

MacFixIt reader Ross Gaspar writes "I too am having trouble with the web side of .mac calendar publishing. The iCal part works fine and can be subscribed to ok. On the web page I get:

"'We're sorry but we cannot find the iCal you've requested. It's possible that it has been deleted or renamed.'

"And my account expires in October just like Jon Breitenbucher.

Another reader writes "I can report he same problem (calendars intermittently unavailable last weekend), and I have also had difficulty logging in (requires several attempts). My account expires October 09, 2004."

Users experiencing this problem should contact .Mac support via the form on this page: http://www.apple.com/support/dotmac/account/.
