PowerBook screen hinge stiffness: a retail solution

PowerBook screen hinge stiffness: a retail solution

CNET staff

On Tuesday we continued our coverage of display hinge stiffness problems on some PowerBooks, noting solutions provided by readers involving silicone spray. We've since been contacted by John Grzeskowiak of RadTech, alerting us to their own Glide Kits containing tools and materials to adjust and lubricate display hinges on TiBooks, iBooks, and aluminum PowerBooks. The kits are priced from $10 to $17. We welcome feedback from readers who have had the opportunity to try RadTech's solution.
