PowerBook G3 Series 13.3 inch display problem

There is a known problem with the PowerBook G3 Series models that have a 13.3 inch screen. Symptoms include flickering and white-outs. A cable replacement is needed to fix it, which Apple will do. There are many posts about this on Apple's PowerBook Discussion Forum (start here for one informative thread). Some posts suggest that the problem persists even after Apple has replaced the cable.
