Possible solution to Virex "not enough hard drive space" message

Possible solution to Virex "not enough hard drive space" message

CNET staff

Last week we reported an issue where entering custom server settings for Virex definition updates results in an erroneous message stating that not enough hard drive space is available.

This problem occurs when using the following workaround -- which allows the acquisition of more recent DAT (virus definition) updates: Open the Virex preferences, go to the bottom of the page under "Virus Update", check the box "customize my eUpdate server settings". and click the radio button 'Server Settings.' Now set Server URL: ftp.nai.com, Username: anonymous, Password: leave blank, Account: leave blank, Directory: /virusdefs/mac/virex7/

It now appears that the "not enough hard drive space" message is caused by failing to type a trailing slash ?/?

The directory should be entered as: /virusdefs/mac/virex7/ rather than /virusdefs/mac/virex7.
