Is that a porn star in your pocket, or is it just your phone ringing?

Wow. In hindsight, maybe we should've seen this coming. Last week we reported that adult film star Jenna Jameson was featured in print ads for iRiver's portable media players.

Now it seems the entrepreneurial starlet is charging forth with a new technology venture: selling "moantones" for mobile phones. Mobile-entertainment company Wicked Wireless announced late last week that it has partnered with Jameson to offer several mobile-content services to TelCel Telefonica customers in Central and South America.

The new services will include downloadable recordings of Jameson and other members of ClubJenna (Jameson's marketing business for adult stars' Web sites) making suggestive sounds that can be used as ring tones on mobile phones. Content will also include music, texting services and images that can be used as wallpaper or screensavers.

"Everyone needs a moantone," Jameson said in a press release. "And we'll provide them in the universal language of sexy sighs recognized around the world but with our own personal touch. The technology is way beyond most of us, but the bottom line is that you'll be able to hear the other Jenna's Web Girls moan and me when your phone starts to ring. We'll also provide audio content in Spanish plus photos and text features."

Lest Americans think they are being left out of the fun, fear not. The venture will make its way to the States sometime later this year. When it does, we have one request: Do us all a favor and keep your phone on its silent setting when you're at work.
