Way back before Tom Cruise became best-known for kidnapping impressionable young actresses and jumping on couches, he did this thing called acting. One of his more famous movies, Top Gun, is about to turn 20, and to mark this auspicious occasion, Hands-On Mobile is releasing Top Gun: Gulf Crisis (with the Gulf added, of course, to give the '80s characters a modern-day feel).

The game follows the Top Gun and Top Gun II mobile titles. The latest installment of the air combat simulator lets players be Iceman or Maverick as they take the controls of an F-14 Tomcat (not to be confused with TomKat, of course) in five story-based missions. They can battle enemy fighter jets, ships and tanks--and even condemn Brooke Shields for taking antidepressants! The game is available for download via cell phone on major carriers worldwide or via the Hands-On Mobile Web site.
