Photos of DIY full-size flight simulator
So you think you're good at homemade projects? Try this one on for size: This guy says he has spent the last eight years working on a full-size flight simulator in Sydney, Australia, and provides photos as proof.
"In 1998 I began the design and constuction of my 747-400 simulator," Matthew Sheil writes in this post on MAKE. "The approximate size of the simulator is 13 feet wide x 11 feet long and 9 feet high. It will include every switch and panel in the 747-400."
We suspect that this inventor doesn't spend much time with an Xbox or PlayStation.
