Performa 550/560 upgrades and missing VRAM: a follow-up

Regarding the missing VRAM in Performa 550/560 upgrades (reported previously), Norman Spangler received a letter from Apple that states: "We recently learned that some of our authorized Apple Dealers may have an insufficient inventory of video memory SIMM's chips to accomodate the number of customers who have taken advantage of this upgrade opportunity..." The letter gives the purchaser the option of having the Service Provider call for the SIMMS or the purchaser may have the SIMMS shipped directly to their address.
