The Zyliss Soft Skin Peeler Zyliss

Whether you're baking a fruit pie or you're dealing with a picky eater, sometimes you just have to take the skins off of thin-skinned fruits and vegetables, like tomatoes or plums. But there's no way to do that with a normal vegetable peeler; most of the time you wind up removing the skins (and plenty of the fruit in question) with a knife.

The Zyliss Soft Skin Peeler offers an alternative. The peeler uses a sharp serrated steel blade to smoothly remove even the thinnest skins. Where most peelers use a straight edge to cut away a vegetable's skin, the Soft Skin Peeler's serrations provide many points of contact between the peeler and the fruit. That approach eliminates the big source of pressure on fruit that typically creates an unappetizing mess when you use a standard peeler. The one-piece design includes a sturdy steel tip on top in order to remove blemishes.

The Zyliss Soft Skin Peeler was designed with ergonomics in mind. It's both compact and will fit comfortably in your hand, even if you're peeling pounds of peaches in one go. The peeler is also sturdy enough to be used in place of standard peelers, if you need to peel a few potatoes.
