Fixes

Use Parallels' hotfix Parallels has now responded (in record time) with a downloadable fix that will restore network connectivity for most users having issues after the update.

Disable then re-enabled driver In some cases, this issue can be resolved by navigating to the Parallels tools center, then disable and re-enable the network driver. Apply the settings.

Turn off Parallels Host-Guest Adapter Boot the your system into Mac OS X and navigate to the Network pane of System Preferences. In the "Show:" menu, select "Network Port Configurations" then disable the "Parallels Host-Guest Adapter" item. Re-boot into Windows XP and check for network accessibility.

Re-install Parallels In some cases, you may need to re-install Parallels after performing some of the above workarounds, particularly turning off the Parallels Host-Guest Adapter.

Use fixed IP Go to Windows XP's networking settings and disable DHCP. You may have to manually enter your DNS server addresses (you can usually get this information from your ISP's web site).
