Pantech Link now official on AT&T

AT&T announces availability and pricing for the Pantech Link

We first looked at the Pantech Link at CTIA 2010, and even then we were impressed by the handset's slim yet solid design. Now the messaging-focused phone will finally be available for AT&T on April 18 for the very affordable price of $9.99 with a new two-year service agreement.

We had a chance to review the Link recently, and even though it's billed as a low-entry phone, it has quite a number of cool features for the price. It has a basic but decent 1.3-megapixel camera, GPS, 3G, a mobile HTML browser based on Opera, and it has access to AT&T's recently launched cloud-based services that lets you store your address book and photos online.

As cheap as the Link is, realize that you do need to get a $20 messaging plan along with the voice plan, and that the online cloud storage isn't free; each file transfer is 35 cents, or $10 for 50 transfers. There's also a file size cap of 10MB.
