ORLANDO, Fla.--Even though Pantech didn't officially make an appearance at CTIA 2011, we did discover a new Pantech handset showcased at the PCD booth. The Pantech Caper is meant for Verizon Wireless' prepaid service, and has a suitably basic spec sheet.

The messaging phone has a 2.2-inch display, and a slate-style design that places the QWERTY keyboard right on the front. Features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, and the usual messaging features. We're still mostly in the dark about pricing and availability, but we've heard it's been on sale for a few weeks now at major retail centers like Wal-Mart for around $60. We'll get the official details as soon as we can.
