Palm's MacPac 2 beta due out soon

Palm Computing's long-awaited and long-delayed MacPac 2 is nearing completion. In an email sent to registered users, Palm apologized for the delay, noting "Because it is being built from the ground up for MacOS, and is not simply an update of the previous version, there is a great amount of engineering involved in addition to a long and arduous quality assurance testing process."

Additionally, "We are expecting to post an unsupported public beta version on our web site later this month."
