Overclocked Core 2 Duo desktop

Despite rumors to the contrary, Dell's XPS 700 isn't leaving the factory with an overclocked Core 2 Duo processor. WinBook's PowerSpec Extreme 9800, however, is. The $4,500 desktop goes on sale this Thursday and will feature the Core 2 Extreme X6800 chip clocked at 3.20GHz, up from its stock speed of 2.93GHz. Rounding out the specs: 2GB of DDR2 PC6400 memory; ATI Radeon X1900 CrossFire graphics with 1GB of combined video RAM; a pair of 150GB 10,000rpm Raptor hard drives, plus a 400GB third drive; and a 700-watt power supply to keep all the parts humming along. We've got one on order and will soon bring you a full review of this relatively affordable, factory-overclocked gaming PC.
