Zingg! 1.1 is a Contextual Menu item that lists all applications that claim to open a given file. You can also configure Zingg! to always include or exclude certain applications. Classic applications can receive special handling. New in this version: Zingg! now resolves symbolic links prior to checking for duplicate entries in the application list; Activating "Caps Lock" will show full pathnames in the menu; more.

BetterConsole 3.1.0 is an update to this utility to replace OS X's Console, adding more features.

FontChecker X 10.2 turns each font into a character palette. FontChecker shows you what key code you need to enter to reach the character but goes one step further. Simply drag the desired character or the HTML character code from your FontChecker palette directly into your document.

InterMapper X 3.6b5 is an OS X beta version of this network monitoring and alerting application. It watches the servers, routers, WAN links, UPS's, and other equipment on your network using pings, SNMP, and< various server probes. It notifies the network administrator when problems occur using audible alerts, email, pages, or running scripts.

CD Spin Doctor 1.5 is out. Although we recently alluded to the release of this utility, which works with Toast Titanium 5, we never officially mentioned it was out.

Jonathan Augusto writes: "On my 1999 iMac DV running OS X 10.1.2, I was dismayed to find that CD Spin Doctor will only recognize the internal microphone as an audio source and does not list the line-in or external microphone as an option for input." Running on our G4, Spin Doctor listed External Microphone as an input.

Key Xing 1.4 allows you to launch files, programs, folders, and AppleScripts from the keyboard.

FileType 1.0b changes the file types (type- and creator-codes) of files. You can save the file types you frequently use in a database so you don't have to remember them.

Classic Toggler 1.1 is a tool to launch and restart Classic from the Dock. This release features a new Preferences Manager.

DMG Tool 2.4 is a tool to quickly creates compressed disk images.

Load Monitor 0.92 gives the system load, not the CPU load. It tries to mimic the behavior of the well-known "xload" available with a X11 server.

Leonardo and WebShuttle drivers are out. They include updated OS X versions of the Hermstedt drivers for Leonardo SL (version 2), Leonardo USB, Angelo, Marco SL, WebShuttle and WebShuttle II.
