OS X Utilities Updates: Tape; America Online client; Massinova.dock; CalcService; WordService

Tape 1.6.1 is a tool primarily of use to developers. It allows access to file packages in Mac OS 9 and X. This release adds more XML tags for file type icons in the Info.plst and plst resource, it fixes a few erroneous XML tags, and it now displays long file names for packages/bundles.

America Online (AOL) 14B is the latest Mac OS X client for the online service (use keyword Beta).

Massinova.dock 1.2.7 is a Dockling interface for trance music from Massinova.com. Changes include 6 more languages, auto-update time is reset when selecting the refresh menu, and it fixes the problem with crashing the user interface server.

CalcService 2.5.1 is a calculator service with trig/log/exp functions & math/phy. This update revises the services menu and fixes the issue where it would not always terminate in the background.

WordService 2.0 performs 24 operations on selected text, such as All caps, trim, sort, etc. This update adds Reformat, Remove Line Endings, and Remove Multiple Spaces, along with convert line endings and Insert Contents of Path. It also includes speed improvements, a reworked main menu, and fixes a problem where it did not always terminate in the background.
