Belkin 4 port USB PCI card Noah Rosenstein writes: "I have a G4/450/AGP and a Belkin 4 port USB PCI card. The card is not functional in OS X but works fine in OS 9.1. My inquires to Belkin on this issue have gone unanswered."
Carbon applications in the Process Viewer: a follow-up Kenneth MacArthur points out that our item yesterday on the Process Viewer is only partially correct. He writes: "LaunchCFMApp only appears if an application is a Code Fragment Manager Carbon app. CFM Carbon apps are the kind where a single binary can be run on both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. Mach-O Carbon apps are the type the Mach kernel natively deals with, and I assume they appear with their correct name. It is also worth noting that the Terminal process 'top' shows the correct name for all applications, even those launched using LaunchCFMApp."
