Oracle co-President Charles Phillips will address a gathering of PeopleSoft customers next month to talk about the company's takeover plans for PeopleSoft, Oracle said on Friday. PeopleSoft has no intention of sending any representatives to the regional conference, which takes place in San Diego, starting Feb. 29.

PeopleSoft had a falling-out with the group that's organizing the meeting and pulled its speakers from the event in January. The group, called Quest, runs an independent user group for former J.D. Edwards customers that consists of 15,000 members. PeopleSoft, which maintains relations with 170 other user groups, acquired J.D. Edwards in August and has sought to combine the user group events in which it participates.
