Optus, Telstra adding new 4G Windows Phones

Australian telcos Optus and Telstra will add new 4G-capable Windows Phone models over the next few weeks.

Australian telcos Optus and Telstra will add new 4G-capable Windows Phone models over the next few weeks.

The Optus smartphone range will grow by two new Windows Phones over the weekend, with the HTC Windows Phone 8S and Nokia Lumia 820 joining the telco's line-up. The HTC comes out cheaper, at AU$0 upfront on an AU$35 per month plan.

The Nokia Lumia 820 similarly has no upfront payment, but only on an AU$50 plan or higher.

Telstra continues offering only premium Windows Phone offerings, adding the HTC flagshipWindows Phone 8X to its range, alongside the previously announced Nokia Lumia 920. Telstra will begin selling the 8X online first, from 4 December, with in-store sales beginning a week later.
