Adelaide got an early Christmas present last year, with Optus turning on 4G services in the CBD on 20 December.

Optus snuck out the news while we (and no doubt many others) were wrapped in our holiday cocoons, touting once more that 3G users should also see "faster... speeds and better indoor reception" as a result of it adding the 900MHz spectrum to its existing 2100MHz 3G services.

Optus has already rolled out 4G in the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Perth.
