Open-source executive moves: Where, or where is "litl" Donald Fisher?
Who are the open-source executives behind LiTL? And what are they building?
Donald Fisher, former vice president of Online Services at Red Hat, recently left Red Hat. To go where, you ask? Well, that's a bit of a "litl" secret. He has gone to a Boston-based stealth-mode startup called "LiTL." But what does Litl do?
The Jobs page gives a slight hint as to what it is:
...a consumer product that involves hardware, software, and online services. We're looking for talented folks to help us create our iconic first product (and many products to come).
The Jobs page also notes that Donald isn't the only open-source veteran at LiTL. Hmm....Consider me intrigued. The company has been peppering its Help Wanted signs across the web's job boards, and seems to have received funding based on its ideas, not its technologies (as the job descriptions indicate that this product has not yet been developed).
It's got to have something to do with open source. It's consumer facing. It sounds interesting.
