Black Friday price drop: 200 more reasons to buy an OLED TV
From this Sunday through Cyber Monday, the best TV we've ever reviewed gets another $200 cheaper. The 65-inch LG B6 will cost $2,800, while the 55-inch model will sell for $1,800.

In anticipation of the Black Friday TV buying frenzy, the two OLED-based TVs in LG's B6 series have fallen to their lowest prices of the year.
Starting Sunday, November 20, and running through Cyber Monday, November 28, the 55-inch OLED55B6P will cost $1,800, while the 65-inch OLED65B6P will cost $2,800. The price will be good at major retailers nationwide and online, including Amazon and Best Buy.
That's another $200 discount compared with the previous lows of $2,000 and $3,000 respectively, which were themselves $500 and $1,000 discounts over pricing in early October.
Even after those big price drops, however, LCD-based televisions like Vizio's M series cost half that much (or less). And, of course, competing high-end TVs from Samsung and Sony are also priced at the lowest level of the year.
For people who prioritize image quality, however, nothing beats OLED. In my review of the B6 series, which compared it side-by-side against rivals, I called it the best-performing TV I'd ever tested. That's primarily because of its OLED display technology, which is fundamentally different from the LCD used by Sony, Samsung and others.
LG makes a few OLED TV models, but the B6 is my overall favorite among versions with 4K resolution. The company also makes a single 1080p resolution OLED, the curved 55-inch 55EG9100, which was a very good value throughout the year, but has recently been ticking up in price as it sells out. Amazon's price at press time is around $1,400, and I think the 55-inch B6 at $1,800 is worth the extra money.
When we asked what happens to B6 pricing after the sale ends, LG's Senior Manager of Public Relations Chris DeMaria replied "At this point we don't have any information to share regarding pricing post-November 28."
