The official trailer for the upcoming "Lego Movie" has been floating around for a few days, but it's worth taking a closer look at just how geeked out it's going to be.

The filmmakers sure seem to know their audience. The whole affair kicks off with Will Arnett voicing Batman. Batman seems to gets as much screen time as the main character. Perhaps the "The Lego Movie" should be renamed "The Batman Lego Movie." That's not a complaint.

The movie follows the story of little yellow minifig Emmet (voiced by Chris Pratt), a relentlessly cheery character who suddenly discovers he is key to saving the world. So, yeah, it's pretty much a retelling of the "The Matrix." It looks like Lego is calling in a lot of its licensing agreements. The trailer alone brings Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle along for the ride.

The trailer really shows of the quality of the animation. It makes you believe you could build those sets in your living room, if only you had an unending supply of Legos, dropped like manna from toy heaven. It also shows it's not just geared for the kiddie crowd, which is a relief. There is a joke about Abraham Lincoln and a bad Batman pun. Plus Morgan Freeman.

My first thought at hearing about a full-blown Lego feature film, was "Huh." Now, I'm actually feeling some excitement about the prospect, mostly due to the presence of little yellow superheroes. Plus, this may be the closest we'll ever get to a Wonder Woman movie.
