Real Player not due until later this year Wacom tablet 4.72-3 followup: a success Not everyone is having difficulty with the new Wacom tablet driver. (See previous.) Calvin Lee writes: "I didn't have any problems with installing the driver under Mac OS X.1.3, it seems like the bug that kept the dock from appearing when the pointer is moved to the edge where the dock is hidden is fixed. I did notice that when I first installed the driver it did freeze the computer and I had to restart but things seem to running smooth now."

iDisk visibility on the Desktop A reader points out a situation where iDisks mount but do not appear on the Desktop (although the preference is set to show servers on the desktop) Linda Cameron writes: "Well, I tried about 4 times to mount someone's public folder this morning. I also tried a couple of times to mount my iDisk. Nothing showed up on my Desktop. Some time later, when I did a Sherlock search, the volumes were listed in Sherlock. I found a file I was looking for, copied it from an iDisk to the local drive, and the public folder icon suddenly appeared. Evidently although the disks and folders mounted, they did not display until accessed."

Update: Randall Meadows writes: "I also experienced this, and was able to consistently get the iDisk to finally show itself on the Desktop by opening the folder manually, either from the /Volumes Finder window, or by using the 'open' Terminal command."

Real Player for OS X not due until later this year Dan Warne reports that he was told by RealNetworks not to expect delivery of a Real Player for OS X until the 4th quarter of this year.
