Umax scanner and line-art scanning bug Glen Adomovicz reports that the Umax Astra 2200 is not able to scan line-art higher than 600dpi. he adds: "This is a bug on the Mac side only, on my PC I have scanned line-art at 1800dpi (8.5x11) without any problems." Umax technical Support confirmed this, stating: "Black and White line-art cannot be scanned above 600DPI with your scanner. This is a known issue, and may be solved in the future with updated driver, however, there is currently no way around the issue at hand. Check for updated driver about once every other month at this Web site." Mounting CDs in Windows emulation software A report on the Help With Your Mac site states that neither Virtual PC nor SoftWindows can mount CDs - if you are using FWB's CD-ROM ToolKit. ATI Nexus resolution Danny Princz writes that the ATI confirmed that the "Nexus 128 card does not support 1920 x 1200 resolution on a Mac, even though all their marketing info states that it does."
