SuperCard externals source MacFixIt reader Chilton Webb has established a new site that will serve as a collection of SuperCard externals - tiny enhancements written in C, C , or Cocoa, which interface with SuperCard. He writes:

"Once a day, every day, for a period of one year, I'll release a new or updated SuperCard external at the site below. All of them are free, and their use in commercial software is completely unrestricted. To kick things off, I've posted two externals. One is an update of an old favorite, and a new external I don't think anyone in the SuperCard community has seen before."

File journaling for media professionals Larry Jordan has written a short analysis of file journaling as it applies to video media professionals upgrading to Mac OS X 10.3.x. An excerpt:

"My recommendation? Leave journaling turned on for your boot disk and turn it off for all secondary drives (both internal and external) that are used to store media files. For external drives that store data, not media, turn journaling on."
