Quark 6.1 and re-opening files A MacFixIt reader reports an issue where re-opening certain QuarkXPress files results in missing content:

"We just updated to Quark 6.1, and I wanted to see if others were having the same problems we were on the Mac OS X version. It seems that we can open files (usually v4) and edit them, output, etc... then we save them. This is where things go weird - all of a sudden, when we go to re-open that file, text and/or images are just completely missing. We didn't have this problem under 6.0."

Power Mac G5 noise rumor confirmed Yesterday we noted a Think Secret story that "an internal Apple service note acknowledges [the problems we've been covering on MacFixIt with respect to G5 noise] and states that Apple will replace the power supplies of affected machines." We've since received confirmation of this issue from an Apple Certified Technician who actually received the service bulletin in question.
