Problems with iTunes "most played" feature Randy Smith notes an issue with iTunes' "Recently Played" list that we've noticed in-house:

"Since I am one of the few people left on the planet to not own an iPod (or any portable MP3 player) all of my music is played via iTunes. Ever since Apple has added the feature of tracking the number of times a song has been played this feature has never quite worked for me. The recently played song list has always worked correctly but the top 25 list is never correct and usually shows the same songs in the same order no matter what I play. In fact the number one most played song is in fact a sound effect I have never played. It always shows the same number of plays, 12."
