Problems installing TurboTax State 2004 MacFixIt reader Eric reports some issues installing TurboTax State 2004 from Intuit:

"This is an FYI for users of Turbo Tax. I have just tried to install the Turbo Tax products for FY 2004. The Federal installed just fine, but the state installation, from the Windows/Mac multistate CD fails. This CD is supposed to allow you to install one state product out of the box, then install additional state products with an installation key purchased from Intuit. However, the installation process does not work; it brings up a dialog asking for the additional state key immediately instead of installing the (first) state product. Technical support is unable to provide a key that works (they tried, but the key that they gave me based on the product serial number failed). The only option is to get a replacement CD. I guess the validation code is not correct, so there is no way to install any state product from this CD. Since Intuit has had several reports of this problem, I would recommend that purchasers of any Turbo Tax State product delay their purchase until Intuit fixes this problem and ships a corrected batch of CDs to their retail outlets."
