Positive feedback on Eudora 6.0's spam filter MacFixIt reader Darryl Adams reports that "the Spam Watch in Eudora 6 is so effective, that it alone is worth the $49.95. Finally a spam filter that really works!" Qualcomm's documentation does not indicate what type of filtering is used by the e-mail client.

Difference in new PowerBook G4 L2 cache sizes Following up our coverage yesterday about new PowerBooks, one change we didn't notice originally is that the new PowerBooks all have 512K of Level 2 cache. While this is a flat-out increase for the 12" PowerBook G4, the first generation PowerBook G4 17" had a 1MB Level 3 cache and a 256K Level 2 cache. The new models drop the Level 3 cache, but increase the Level 2 to 512K. How this will affect performance remains to be seen, but traditionally the presence of an L3 cache has provided a significant performance boost.
