CharisMac releases RAID Toolbox for Mac OS X

MSN Newsletters not Mac friendly Newsletters deployed by the Microsoft Network (MSN.com is currently the default start page in the Mac OS X version of Internet Explorer 5.5) are incompatible with the Macintosh platform due to the "level of HTML used" according to a warning included in the distributions. The notice reads:

"If you have chosen to receive your newsletters in an HTML format and are using either a browser or a platform that is not compatible with the level of HTML that we use, you will see extra characters in the URLS and not be able to use the links.

"We currently do not support:

  • Any Macintosh browser
  • Internet Explorer earlier than version 5.5
  • Netscape Navigator earlier than version 6

"To view your newsletter with working links, either upgrade your browser to a supported version, or edit your options to receive it in plain text."

CharisMac debuts RAID Toolbox for Mac OS X CharisMac has introduced a Cocoa-built version of its RAID Toolbox software.

RAID Toolbox supports all popular drive interfaces including: FireWire, IDE, fibre channel, USB (1.1 and 2.0) and SCSI. RAID Toolbox allows users to stripe or mirror drives across buses or interface types. For example, RAID Toolbox users can mount a stripe consisting of a firewire, SCSI and IDE drives with as many as 40 partitions.
