Eudora text bug, workaround MacFixIt reader Gabriel Dorado reports that Eudora 6.2.2 does not show the accented characters of capital letters on the Subject field (or other heading fields) and on the body of eMail messages.

"Examples: á, é, í, ó, ú do show accented. Á, É, Í, Ó, Ú do not show accented (show just as A, E, I, O, U; that is, not accented) before sending the message."

"This is due to the fact that Eudora 6.2 shows text with a new font type different to the one used in version 6.1.1 and previous ones."

Dorado also notes a simple temporary workaround "Until Qualcomm fixes it, just copy and paste the text into a word processor to see such accented characters."
