Odds and Ends: Advertisements in paid iTunes content; Apple Knowledge Base updates

CNET staff

Advertisements in paid iTunes content It appears that Apple is now allowing advertisements in paid content from the iTunes Store. Though there has never been a specific policy against such ads, the precedent thus far has been commercial-free.

MacFixIt reader Kevin writes:

"Just thought you should know iTunes is now allowing commercials in paid TV shows. I bought a pass for MLB Daily Rewind, and to my surprise, there are about 5 minutes of commercials as part of every show. This is a $2 per episode show. I am disappointed in Apple for starting this practice. [...] I am fine with commercials in free TV shows from itunes, but not with paid TV shows."
