OS 9.2.1 and wake-from-sleep crashes: a follow-up A reader notes that his problems with wake-from-sleep crashes on his FireWire PowerBook G3/500 running Mac OS 9.2.1 only happens when using a program that uses TCP/IP. This is consistent with a prior report that linked it to OpenTpt Serial Arbitrator.

However, a different solution worked for Kenneth Watters: "I found that my new iBook with OS 9.2 and 10.1 installed would crash on wakeup from sleep when in OS 9 (Finder unexpectedly quit error). The only extensions I had recently installed were Kensington MouseWorks 1.1 for OS X. Turns out one of the extensions installed was for an ADB mouse, and that was the culprit. I turned it off in the OS 9 Extensions Manager, and no further problem."

AppleScript manual update Recently, we posted a link to an AppleScript manual. A reader notes that a newer manual, the AppleScript Language Guide for AppleScript 1.3.7 (PDF) is available here.
