OpenType fonts and ATM Jere Beagley installed OpenType fonts (see previous coverage) that were included as part of Adobe Font Folio and activated them in Adobe Type Manager (ATM). After a restart, all activated fonts were deactivated. The solution was to remove the OpenType fonts from ATM's listing. Adobe tech support could nor provide a better work-around.

Agax 1.3 Wyn Parkin found that after installing Agax 1.3 (an antivirus utility last updated in 1999), he could no longer decompress files using MacZip. If he further enabled Agax's Defender extension, the Finder would crash at startup. Disabling and deleting the Agax 1.3 software eliminated all symptoms. We have not had other reports of this.
