HP LaserJet Printing Software and Utility 101001.00 provides HP LaserJet PostScript printing support for the Mac OS 8.6, 9.0, 9.04, 9.1, 9.2 and X 10.0 operating systems. It was released October 15. It is apparently for LaserJet 4, 5, and 6 models. (Thanks, David Atkinson.)

G4/867 cannot boot from Symantec CDs This Symantec support document confirms that you cannot boot the new G4/867 from NUM 6, NAVM 7, NSW, or NIS CDs. The latest versions of the Symantec discs do boot from the other new G4 models. (Thanks, Warren Westbo.)

Citrix ICA Client 6.20.127 is out. Bryan Diegnan offers this observation: "After I log on then off and tried to log back on I got an error message stating 'Missing Section [TCP/IP] in the connection file HD/system foler/Preferences/Citrix ICA Client/Modules' followed by an unexpected quit. I found if I trashed the modules file, Citrix will rebuild the file with no problems and then boot normally. I am using an AppleScript to get around the problem, it dumps the module file and then boots Citrix."

Our System Administrators are looking into this issue, but it has not yet been determined if, or when we will support Mac users."

iPix and RealPlayer While the latest version of QuickTime includes iPix support, the Mac version of RealPlayer does not. As a result, as discovered by Todd Taylor, you will not be able to view pictures on eBay that require Real Player and iPix.

Problem with new G4 and old VGA monitor This MacFixIt Forums thread (Apple Non-Support for VGA Monitors) describes a problem with a recently purchased G4/867 QuickSilver Power Mac running Mac OS 9.2: "The GeForce 2 MX card that came with the Mac has peculiar behavior with our older ViewSonic GT770 (1997) monitor. On reboot, the video frequency is out of sync..."
