FaxSTF and Disc Burner In a follow-up to our previous coverage on this topic, Joey Zapata offers: "I was getting the same error message noted by the first post. My solution was to turn off my Epson Stylus 740i printer. If the printer is off when I start the machine, the error message goes away. After my iMac is started, I can activate the printer. The I have to reselect it in the Chooser, but the error seems to be gone."

FaxSTF won't send from Acrobat 5.0 The current Acrobat 5.0 appears not to be compatible with the FaxSTF bundle version that was supplied with G4s. Martin Hayman writes: "FaxSTF has been updated to the current version level, 5.1.1. On attempting to fax a PDF from Acrobat, Acrobat quits immediately. Sometimes the system (9.1) flags a Type 3 error, most often nothing at all. Neither Adobe or Smith Micro seem aware of the problem."

MYOB glitch fixed? Martin Olander was told that a fix for the font problem we reported last week should be released by now. He writes: "The user should select 'Check for Product Updates and News' from the Help menu from within the application. The new version will appear as update 4.73." We have yet to confirm if the update is actually available.

Epson Stylus RIP and Adobe PS Issues: a follow-up In response to last Friday's item on this topic, Donald Miller writes: "Epson tech support has told me on several occasions that the easiest way to bypass AdobePS problems is to print to the Stylus RIP server software using the LaserWriter 8 driver. I can confirm that on all of my clients' workstations and networks running Epson Stylus RIP that AdobePS 8.7.2 works perfectly, and so does Laserwriter 8."

Site Updates We have added updates our previous items on time servers for the Date and Time control panel and Burning CDs for Windows.
