Cox Cable and DHCP problems According to the Cox status page, "Some customers with Apple Macintosh computers may not be able to connect to the Internet." This note was evidently posted late last week and updated this morning. There is no word on how long until the problem is fixed. (Thanks, Dan Farrell Davis.)

Illustrator 10.0.1 update soon? According to an Adobe knowledge base document dated 3/5/2001 about the missing files or "File is busy -54" Error when you save files from Illustrator 10 to a Windows NT Server, one of the recommended solutions is to update Illustrator to 10.0.1. Evidently the update is forthcoming.

Cyclone USB Flash Key 64 MB and Mac OS X Melissa Jenks writes: "I just spoke to a rep at CD Cyclone, who told me that the Flash key does not work with the latest release of OS X, 10.1.3. I was also told that it will work with earlier versions of OS X and that they are working on a fix." We have noted similar USB micro-drive problems previously.

Macs and cellphone-based dialup Internet A reader is looking for a way to establish an Internet connection to an iBook via a cellular phone. While we are aware of PC-based solutions, we have not come across a Mac-compatible way of doing this. If you have been successful with a similar setup under either Mac OS 9 or X, let us know.
